About this quiz

If you're asking, something has usually already happened. A text to an ex. A dating app that never came down. A passcode that changed the moment you asked. On their own, each one is a gray area. Together, they're the pattern people are describing when they say they “just have a feeling.” This quiz doesn't grade your morals or hand you a verdict. It walks through eighteen of the situations people ask about most and asks one thing about each: is this actually happening in your relationship? At the end you get a score for how many signs you're seeing, plus your answers laid out in plain language. Something concrete to sit with. And if you decide you want certainty, a private way to check if they're cheating.

Why “is it cheating if…” rarely has a clean answer

Most arguments about cheating aren't really about a single act. They're about a boundary nobody ever said out loud, and a feeling that something is off. One person treats liking a stranger's photos as nothing. The other feels it as a small betrayal. Neither one is wrong, exactly. What counts as crossing the line gets decided by two specific people, not by some universal rule. That's also why a single gray area rarely settles anything, but a stack of them does. If you found yourself answering “yes” or “not sure” to several of these, you're probably not reacting to one incident. You're reacting to the pattern. Once you can name the pattern, it gets easier to work out what you actually need next: a conversation, a clearer boundary, or an answer.

Turning what you noticed into certainty

A score is only useful if it goes somewhere. Start with the ones you marked as happening. Those are worth raising calmly, and specifically, before they come out sideways in the middle of an argument. The “not sure” answers are just as telling. Those are the ones where the guessing is quietly costing you sleep. If a few of these are already part of your day-to-day and you're tired of reading tea leaves, you don't have to confront or accuse anyone to get clarity. You can check if they're cheating with a private search of public dating profiles — it shows you whether someone has an active profile, or quietly rules it out. Either way, a nagging maybe turns into something you can actually see.

Frequently asked questions

Does this quiz tell me if my partner is cheating?
No. It scores how many common warning signs you're noticing right now, based on your own answers. It can't confirm what your partner has actually done, and signs are not proof.
What actually counts as cheating?
There's no single definition. Cheating is anything that violates the agreement two people made, which is why the same behavior can be completely fine in one relationship and a dealbreaker in the next. So this quiz focuses less on the label and more on what you're actually seeing.
Is the quiz private?
Yes. No sign-up, no email gate. Your score shows up on the page, and your answers stay in your browser.
My score was high. What should I do?
Noticing things doesn't make you paranoid. It also isn't proof. Start with a calm conversation about the specific things you flagged, not the score itself. And if you'd rather have certainty than guesswork, you can check if they're cheating from the button on your result screen.
