About this quiz

If you're asking this, the beginning probably felt like a movie. Constant texts. Future talk. “I've never felt this way.” Then something cooled, or the rules showed up, and you're trying to work out whether that first chapter was love or a tactic. This quiz doesn't diagnose anyone. It walks through twenty common signs of a love-bombing pattern and asks how often they showed up with this person. You get a score out of 100 for how much of the pattern you marked, plus your answers laid out in plain language. And if the crash came with secrecy, a private way to check if they're cheating.

What people mean by love bombing (short version)

Love bombing is a rush of attention, future-talk, and intensity that arrives before there's a real relationship to hold it. The point isn't that someone liked you a lot. It's that the volume was used to skip the part where you get to know them slowly — and that it often drops, or comes with strings, once you're in. That's why the H1 on this page is “am I being love bombed?” and not “what is love bombing.” You're scoring a pattern in this relationship. Idealizing you, isolating you, then devaluing you is the arc people describe. One grand gesture isn't it. A stack of these, often, is.

When the crash includes someone else

The drop after a love-bombing start is sometimes just coldness. Sometimes it's a phone that suddenly faces down, a schedule that doesn't add up, or a profile that never came down. You don't have to untangle the whole pattern in one fight. If what you need is a clear answer on that piece, you can check if they're cheating with a private search of public dating profiles. It shows you whether someone has an active profile, or quietly rules it out. Either way, the maybe gets smaller.

Frequently asked questions

Does this quiz diagnose love bombing?
No. It scores how often common signs of a love-bombing pattern show up in your answers. It does not diagnose anyone.
Can't people just fall hard without it being love bombing?
Yes. Fast feelings exist. This quiz is asking about the mix of intensity, pace they pushed, isolation, future-faking, and a crash. That's the pattern, not the fact that someone was excited.
Does a high score mean they're cheating?
No. Love bombing and cheating can overlap, and they can exist separately. If secrecy is part of what you're seeing now, you can check if they're cheating from the button on your result screen. Signs are not proof.
Is the quiz private?
Yes. No sign-up, no email gate. Your score shows up on the page, and your answers stay in your browser.
